Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Henderson County will host a candidate forum for the candidates for the NC House and Senate. The candidates participating will be running for NC Senate District 48 (Chuck Edwards and Norm Bossert), NC House of Representatives District 113 (Cody Henson and Sam Edney) and NC House of Representatives District 117 (Chuck McGrady and Gayle Kemp).

School Board Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters and the Henderson County Retired School Teachers Association will co-host a Forum for Candidates of the School Board.
Paul Goebel, a member of both organizations, will be the moderator.
The Forum is free and open to the public.

LWV HC Members Attend National Convention in Chicago

The League of Women Voters Henderson County (LWVHC) was represented by Rachel Poller, Co-President, and Linda Hansma, Secretary/Communications Co-Chair, at the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) 53rd National Convention held June 28 – July 1 in Chicago. More than 1,000 League leaders from 49 states and the District of Columbia attended workshops and heard from speakers about League priorities.
